Meijer Mealbox

Meijer Mealbox is Meijer's printable coupon website. Meijer Mealbox  is one of two types of Meijer coupons. Meijer mperks  coupons are the other type. You can use one Meijer coupon (either mperks or Mealbox - not both) and one manufacturer coupon per item. 

To get mealbox coupons, go to the website. 

On the right hand side of the site, you will see the mealbox (the image changes of course): 

You can get recipes, create a shopping list and more.  To access the coupons, click the "Specials" tab. 

It should default to the "Coupons" tab (between Grocery Ad and Custom Coupons). You can scroll through the coupons. Note that there can be additional pages that you can click through on the link just above the first coupon. 

In order to print a coupon, click on the item in the list. It will then open up that coupon with options.

Click the "print" link at the top right of the coupon. It will then open the coupon in a new window. In Internet Explorer, right click on the image and choose "print" from the menu. In Chrome, right click the bar at the top of the new window and choose "print" from the menu that comes up. 

There is no limit on the amount of mealbox coupons you can print or use, so if I need multiples of one coupon or multiple different coupons, when the coupon opens up in the second window, instead of printing, I use the "Snipping Tool" to make a jpg image file of the coupon. I can then insert as many as I need into a Word Document and print that on one page, instead of one coupon per page. **Note: Mealbox coupons will not double**

To go back to see other coupons, click the red "x" on the top right of the coupon in the mealbox. 

Under the "Custom Coupons" tab, you will be able to see a list of some of the catalina deals that Meijer has going on.  These are coupons that will print at the register after you have made a participating purchase that is good on your next transaction/shopping trip.

Where is the best place to get coupons?

The Sunday Paper is the best place to get your coupons. The bigger the city the paper is from, the better coupons you will receive. I live in SE Michigan, so the best paper for coupons is the Detroit Free Press. Most places sell the Free Press for $1.50-$2. Check your local Dollar Tree to see if they sell papers. My local Dollar Tree sells the paper for $1. 

How many papers should I buy?

If you are new to couponing, start off slow - 1-2 papers per week. I usually buy 4 papers each Sunday. Sometimes I buy extras if it is a really great coupon week. Some people recommend getting one paper for each person in your family, but start off slow and you will learn how many papers are good for your family. 

Why do I need more than one paper?

When couponing, you will find that you can purchase some items at rock bottom prices and you will want to stock up on multiples of that item to carry you through until that item comes on sale again. You don't need to have a huge stockpile that lasts a year, just enough until the next sale. You will learn the sale cycles as you coupon. Also, some deals only work if you buy multiples.  Sometimes, if you buy a certain amount of an item, you will get a coupon good on your next order, or will get an instant discount. When combined with your manufacturer coupons, this can make for a great deal if you have multiple manufacturer coupons. 

Is the Sunday paper the only place I can get coupons?

Absolutely not! You can find coupons in magazines, stuck to products, inside products, on the shelf in the stores, and online.

Where can I find online manufacturer coupons?

Most online coupons can be printed twice per computer. You can find coupons on manufacturer websites as well as:

Meijer mperks

Meijer mperks is Meijer's digital coupon program. Mperks is one of two types of Meijer coupons. Meijer Mealbox coupons are the other type. You can use one Meijer coupon (either mperks or Mealbox - not both) and one manufacturer coupon per item. 

• Register by going to their website and signing up with your cell phone number. 
• Meijer will text you an activation code that will allow you to activate your account. If you are not able to receive texts you can call customer service at 1-800-962-7011 and they can manually activate your account. 
• If you do not wish to receive promotional texts from Meijer in the future, reply to the text they send you with the activation code with the word STOP. You will then receive one more text message informing you they will no longer text you. 
• In order to use an mperks coupon, log in to your account and activate the coupons you would like to use.
• Mperks coupons can only be used once. 
• Mperks will not double and are specific to your account. 
• Mperks coupons become available on Mondays but can disappear at any time. If you see one you think you will use, activate it. 
• When your order is being rung up, look at the credit card reader. Near the bottom of the screen you will see the mperks logo. If you are at the self-checkout, the mperks logo is at the bottom of the main screen, not on the card reader.

• Press the logo and it will ask you for your cell phone number. Type it in on the keypad and press enter (green button). It will then ask you to enter your pin number (that you created when you created your account). Type that in, press enter. If you purchased any items for coupons you activated, the coupons will come off.
